One common denominator that unites celebrities in Nigeria is their penchant for having babies outside wedlock. The trend has continued over the years and does not seem to be ending anytime soon, as findings revealed that most of them preferred to welcome the baby first before getting married.
But for actress and movie producer, Toyin Abraham, it is not a terrain she would love to explore, even if it is very common in the entertainment industry.
Abraham, over the last five years, emerged as one of the most sought after actresses and producers, who have raised their game to a meaningful level. She also commands high fees in the movie industry now, a development that has helped her to break into the English speaking movies.
The actress, who is rumoured to be having a love affair with a popular Yoruba actor after her infamous marriage break-up to actor, Adeniyi Johnson, has sensationally revealed that she would not be caught in the league of female actresses who have welcomed babies outside wedlock.
Days back, the actress flaunted what looked like an engagement ring on her Instagram page, and this prompted a curious fan to ask if she was expecting a baby like some of her colleagues, who usually flaunt engagement ring before announcing that they are expecting babies.
Abraham was quick to defend herself saying there was no history of babymama in her family and she would not be the first. Abraham said she had nothing against those who have babies outside wedlock.
“No babymama history in my family and I have nothing against babymamas because I don’t know their struggles or what they are going through but giving birth out of wedlock is a NO NO from me,” Abraham said
