NNPP senatorial candidate congratulates Kano Governor-elect

Published by

New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP FCT senatorial candidate in the February 25 presidential and national assembly elections, Mubarak Ahmad Tijanni, has congratulated the governor-elect of Kano State and the party’s candidate in the March 18 governorship election, Abba Kabir Yusuf on his success at the poll describing it as a gain of democratic governance and the beginning of a new Nigeria.

According to Ahmad Tijjanni, Kabir Yusuf’s emergence as governor-elect shows that the Kano people want a better, greater, and prosperous Nigeria.

“Expectations are high for improved standards of living and progressive governance, which he is competent to provide in accordance with the party’s manifesto.

“I highly commend the party’s national leader and presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for his exemplary leadership, which motivated members and candidates to campaign vigorously for a new Nigeria. His political profundity and acuity encourage us, and will build on it to make Nigeria a better society.

“Kano State has paved the way for more victories in states and constituencies across the nation where NNPP was shortchanged in the results declared and where the party’s logo was missing or a different logo superimposed in the ballot papers, which confused voters.”

While urging party members and supporters to remain dedicated, committed, and hopeful as the party seeks to reclaim its stolen mandates, he said he has already filed his case at the FCT National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal to seek redress “over the grossly manipulated FCT senatorial poll and called for its cancellation as it was not conducted in compliance with the Electoral Act, and demand that a fresh election be conducted for all the political parties that participated in the massively flawed February 25, 2023 poll.”
