Ogun State Caretaker chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP), Prince Ibrahim Adekunle, has again declared that Olaposi Sunday Oginni and his cohorts are not members of the party in the state, reiterating that the party under his leadership is the authentic NNPP in the state.
Adekunle claimed that Oginni and others were expelled last year by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party on issues bothering on alleged anti- party activities.
The NNPP in the state also congratulated members of the party across the country on the party’s victory at apex court over the governorship election matter in Kano State.
This was contained in a statement made available to journalists by the party’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Olowu Omokehinde.
According to the statement: “This is to inform and reaffirm to the general public and all our bonafide members across the 20 local government areas in Ogun State that the NNPP in Ogun State which is under my watch has no other faction.
“Anyone portraying him or herself as the state chairman is fake and such act amounts to impersonation.”
