Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Honourable Damilare Abioro, has expressed deep shock over the death of Olu of Ifoyintedo, His Royal Majesty Oba Isaac Olatunji Adesiyan, who joined his ancestors recently.

The late monarch, popularly known as (Atelugirijoye 1) had passed away on Sunday, 16 June, aged 95 years old.

Abioro, who in a statement he personally signed, described the death of the late traditional ruler as a great loss to the entire people of Ogun State.

The Agosasa born politician explained that the late monarch was a great leader, who contributed much to the development of his community during his reign and his absence will be missed.

He added that the late Olu of Ifoyintedo was always at the forefront of promoting peaceful co-existence in his domain and by extension promoting unity among Yewa sons and daughters, as well as other stakeholders.

According to him, the vacuum of the late Oba Adesiyan, as one of the custodians of traditional institutions and his understanding of agelong customs of Yewa people, knowledge spanning decades on the throne, will be difficult to fill.

“ I want to deeply express my condolences to the family, Ifoyintedo community and the entire people of Ipokia Local Government Area, as well as the good people of Ogun State.

“Kabiesi remains the bridge builder who will leave no stone unturned when it comes to promotion of unity, development and progress of Ifoyintedo and Yewaland.

“Yewa agenda was always at the top of his priority until his death and he remained committed to the development of the Ogun State traditional council” the former NNPP Senatorial aspirant stated.

Abioro, however, asked the kingmakers in the State to ensure that right candidates emerged to fill any vacant stool in order to witness the great characters exhibited by the late Olu of Ifoyintedo in his lifetime.

In a related development, Abioro also commiserated with the people of Owu Kingdom over the passing away of Towulade of Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, who joined his Ancestors at the age of 79.

He described the late monarch as a respected figure who distinguished himself in both his careers as Veteran journalist and Public Relations Guru before committing himself to community development as First Towulade of Akinale.
