The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Bola Oyebamiji, toured facilities at the Warri Area Office of the Authority in Delta State on Thursday
During the tour, the NIWA MD advised the staff to work harder in revenue generation in order to better their welfare.
During the visit, Mr Oyebamiji inspected facilities like the Warri Area Office yard, shoreline, and the newly built concrete jetty, with a promise to upgrade these facilities, in order to enhance efficiency within the system.
The NIWA MD had earlier on Wednesday visited Aba to inspect facilities and will today, Friday, visit Asaba and Onitsha as part of his working visit.
He was accompanied by some management staff.
