Protesting staff of NIPOST blocking the gates of Federal Ministry of Finance on Thursday
A decision to transfer the collection of Stamp Duty to Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) took a new dimension on Thursday with the staff of the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) embarking on the street to protest against the decision to remove the responsibility of collecting Stamp Duty from them.
They placard carrying workers took their complaints to the Federal Ministry of Finance headquarters in Abuja.

Their placards bore various inscriptions conveying their grievances altogether, the protesting condemning the decision to transfer the responsibility of collecting stamp duties to Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)
They blocked the entrance of the finance ministry while the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, was inside presenting the details of the 2020 budget.
