THE gubernatorial candidate of the National Interest Party (NIP) in Oyo State, Mrs Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu, has promised to give hope to the people of Oyo State if elected in the March 2 gubernatorial election.
She disclosed this to Nigerian Tribune after an interactive forum organised by the Ibadan Chamber of Commerce and Industry for gubernatorial candidates in the state, held at the Kakanfo Inn, Ibadan, recently.
Sarumi-Aliyu said if elected as the next governor of Oyo State, she would give hope to all residents in the state through people-oriented programmes and policies that will banish poverty and hopelessness in the state.
On the plight of women whose businesses had folded up because of the harsh economic policies of the state government, including multiple taxation, she promised to give them soft loans and also make the environment conducive for business to thrive.

She said her party, if in government, would improve the standard of living of the people, just as she promised to engage street boys in profitable ventures.
While lamenting the rate of unemployment among youths in the state, the NIP gubernatorial candidate promised to create more jobs and solve electricity problem in the state.
On internal security of the state, she promised to engage Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) members.
She said the manifesto of her party focuses on free healthcare, education and skills acquisition, all-inclusive government, revolution of agriculture and transformed internal security strategy.
