Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has said that Senator Ningi’s actions is likened to a civilian coup which proved abortive.
He made this assertion during a plenary proceedings held at the House of Assembly on Tuesday.
Senator Bamidele, representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District alleged that Ningi’s actions was an attempt to unseat the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

During the session, he added that Senator Ningi allegedly inciting the Northern Senators’ Forum was a scheme to impeach Akpabio.
He said, ”What he set to do was tantamount to a civillian coup which has failed. And in doing this, he wanted to use the platform of the Nothern Senators Forum. God blesters of the Nothern Senators’ Forum”
