Published by

As Christians in the country join their counterparts in other parts of the world to celebrate Christmas, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Suraju Adekunbi has enjoined Nigerians to continue to reflect on the principles that unite the nation, strengthen the polity, enhance its stability and socio-economic prosperity.

Adekunbi in his Christmas message by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Waheed Akinola emphasized the need for Nigerians, especially residents of the state to imbibe the virtues of love and peaceful coexistence that the birth of Jesus Christ symbolises. He said only these would guarantee progress and development of any society.

According to him, “the period of Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the symbol of Christianity and the harbinger of peace, love and good tidings and there is no better way to celebrate the season than by showing love and being our brother’s keeper irrespective of religious beliefs or creed.”
