Nigeria’s business mogul, Chief Sunny Odogwu, is dead, aged 87.
Odogwu, an accomplished administrator, according to a family source, died in his home on Monday night.
Born on March 20, 1931 in Calabar, the elder statesman, who hailed from Asaba, Delta State, was an industrialist, and insurance consultant for which he was honoured with the CFR award by the Federal Government.
Odogwu’s demise had elicited tributes from notable Nigerians which include Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, former governors of the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, who described the death of the elder statesman as a monumental loss to Anioma people, Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
