Nigerians urged to seek professional care service providers for aged

The Chief Executive Officer of Arrowshot Care Solutions (ACS), Dapo Olugbodi, has underscored the need for Nigerians, especially those in the diaspora to ensure adequate care and give more attention to their aged relatives in the country.

Olugbodi noted that aged people need constant attention and premium care which promotes their well-being, adding, “It has become imperative for Nigerians to embrace the services of professional caregivers to eliminate incidences of criminal behavior and the abuse of aged people by quacks. The high number of quacks in the unregulated care industry underscores the need to secure the services of professionals.”

He stressed that Arrowshot has such professionals trained to deliver care with a unique customer focus and in line with practices that are uncommon in the Nigerian care sector.

“For example, each potential service user must go through a care assessment as is standard in the developed world and a care solution is then developed targeted to that individual’s needs.

“There are standard procedures such as the UK’s fundamental standards of care, to provide thorough evaluation of care services. These are the standards ACS seeks to adhere to in the Nigerian context.

“The care service sector also requires integrity. We employ reputable channels with background checks. This is aimed at verifying and authenticating information about the carers and providing assurance and peace of mind to clients and service users. It is unique in Nigeria,” he added.
