Nigerians should put a stop to recycling of political leaders —Bishop Humphrey

Published by

The Bishop, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Lagos, Rt. Rev. Humphrey Bamisebi has said that the gale of defections by political leaders in the country should be seen as the need to stop recycling politicians in the country.

The Bishop, who made this known to journalists on during a visit to The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said that the recycling of political leaders is not good for the country, saying it was disheartening and counter-productive for the entire system of the country.

According to him, I don’t know why people of 80 years will be governing us. This is the time for the youths to come all out and secure their future.

“Young people should be given chance in the polity. If that recycling is not stopped, it will be dangerous and hence threaten the development of our country.”

On insecurity, Reverend Humphrey advised Nigerians to go back to God in honesty, saying insecurity was about greed of some people who have cornered the resources of the country.

He also advocated the provision of more jobs, assuring that when it is done, insecurity will be minimised.

“I believe that the Government is focused, but i believe they needto do more in terms of insecurity and the economy of the nation, so that lives can be better,” he said.

“We need to tell the Government that people ate suffering and therefore drastic steps have to be taken” He said.
