Nigerians should feel impact of corruption fight, Umahi tells Buhari

EBONYI State governor, David Umahi, who says he will continue to support the anti-corruption war advised president Mohammadu Buhari to fight corruption in such a manner that every Nigerian should feel the impact.

Governor Umahi made this known when he received Muslim faithful who were on Eid-el-Kabir festival at the Government House Abakaliki.

His words: “we as a state and government are in support of President Muhammadu Buhari anti-corruption war, we acknowledge that and ask that it should be fought in a way and manner that Nigerians needs to feel the impact.

“And we shall continue to pray for his health and success, and support him in his anti-corruption war in Nigeria,” he said.

Umahi, represented by the deputy governor, Dr. Kelechi lgwe reiterated that interest is the major factor why the alarming rate of defection is occurring presenting among the two major parties.

“But we will as a state will continue to pray for him for sound health essentially at this time where we have seen defection from APC to PDP and PDP to APC,” he said.

The spokesperson of the group, Alh. Barr. Ibrahim Obia appreciated the governor Umahi for his ingenuity in leadership.
