Some of the motorists and other users who waited for the period of adjustment of the pumps expressed apprehension over the development asking what must have necessitated it.

At about 11.30am, AY Shafa station in Wunti along Ahmadu Bello Way opened the gates and started dispensing at the new price of N630 per liter.

Though they grumbled, the users had no choice but to buy at the new price regime calling on the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter of urgency, do something for the masses who are suffering the negative effects of the subsidy removal.

However, as of the time of filling this report, AA Rano was still dispensing at the rate of N550 per liter, when approached, one of the attendants said that they are waiting for the management to come over to adjust the new price as they were not asked to stop selling.

She expressed fear that Nigerians will be forced to stop driving cars and riding motorcycles but seek other means of transport especially taking children to schools and picking them.
