Daniel Regha has reacted to First Lady Remi Tinubu’s speech on Nigerians regarding Nigerians relocating abroad and assuming jobs they might not consider back home.
He said, ”Nigerians relocate because they are underpaid .”
He stated this via his X handle on Thursday, 21st March 2024.
Daniel believes many Nigerians leave because they don’t get paid enough in their own country. He says even big companies in Nigeria pay their workers very little, despite making a lot of money.
These companies expect their employees to work hard but don’t reward them properly. Daniel also wonders how low the minimum wage is in Nigeria.
He also points out that Nigerians working abroad often do jobs they wouldn’t want to do in Nigeria because they get paid much better there.

This shows there’s a big difference in pay between Nigeria and other countries.
He said, ”Nigerians are underpaid in Nigeria, even big companies pay little to nothing despite making huge revenue yearly but expect staffs to be workaholics. Promotions with an increase in salary barely come too. How much again is minimum wage? “Nigerians abroad are taking on jobs that they refused to do at home” cos they’re well paid.”
Recall Tribune Online previously reported Remi Tinubu’s assertion that Nigerians relocating abroad assume roles they reject domestically.
During an interview, she stressed the importance of mutual support among Nigerians, advocating for assisting those in need rather than indulging in lavish leisure pursuits.
