Divine calling
Calling is that divine assignment that the almighty God wants you to do for him. It is that divine encounter with the Most High where instructions on every steps to take would be indicated. So many pastors received God’s calling in different ways. How did you receive yours. I was a teacher before, based in Ikole-Ekiti. When the call of God came in, everything was up side down and hence, I had to obey God because everything that was happening came from God. I knew that quite alright God called me to serve him in his vineyard.
Challenges as a man of God
There are a lot challenges as an activist and also a prophet. On the ministry’s aspect, I faced many challenges in that regard. As a man of God that wants to do His will, I have faced so many persecution, but I scaled through them as a result of God’s favor. There’s none that God called in Bible that did not face persecution. So, persecution is inevitable whenever God assigns you to any assignment.
Problem with Nigeria despite the number of pastors?
During the time of Israelites, they faced a lot of challenges. This is the challenges of Nigeria now. But the only problem that I am being bothered about is the issue of leadership. We don’t have good leaders. The problem of Nigeria is the problem of leadership and I believe that if we all the religious leaders regardless keep praying to God, the country will wake up from its slumber. Look at the people of Israelites, they went through a lot of things but they were delivered at the end.
Advice to Nigerians especially the Christians on 2019 polls
We have 130 days to the 2019 election. My advice to Nigerians is that everybody should go out and cast their votes for the candidate of their choice. You can’t be praying only, it is also important you take an action. Let everybody go out and vote for the person that can deliver the country from this mess. Don’t let us fold our arms. Let’s come en masse to vote on the election day. That’s the only power we have to vote for the candidate of our choice and vote against those who are not interested in the development of the country.
Qualities to look out for when voting
It is very important to checkmate the integrity of that leader. This is because most of the politicians are not faithful, honest and always fighting for themselves at the expense of the larger population.
Belief in a Christian President
Yes, I solidly stand behind a Christian president, who truly believes in all what the Bible says and most importantly, practises it. It is one thing to be a Christian and it is another to practices Christianity. So, for me, I believe that if Nigeria has a Christian president, he will be able to act justly, and act according to the will of God.
Advice to men of God who want to go into politics
I would advise them to keep up the courage and boldness. They shouldn’t allow anything to bring them down because how can we make effective changes in the country or in our community if we are not involved in the affairs of things. However, they should not allow any little thing to make them derail from the will of God for their lives.
