Nigerian musicians, teach the right values

Published by

It has been said that music is the food of the soul. There is no doubt that the Nigerian music industry is thriving. The genres of juju, fuji and hip hop are very popular in the country. Hip hop is particularly beloved by Nigerian youths.
It is a good thing that Nigerian musicians are making waves all over the world. However, a number of the popular lyrics churned out by the nation’s musicians these days seem to glorify crime, sexual deviance and violence. Music videos also portray disturbing images.
It would be good if Nigerian musicians teach the right values because music can shape lives.
