Nigerian movie producer organises Cultural Heritage Carnival 2018 in Denmark

A cultural event showcasing Nigeria’s cultural heritage to its citizens and friends of the country in the Scandinavian countries will hold this year in Denmark, the organisers have said.

The event put together by a Denmark based Nigerian movie producer and director, Mr Stephen King, is expected to hold in Denmark from June 6th to 9th, 2018.

The event said to be the first of its kind, “is aimed at promoting Nigerian culture in the Scandinavia and Nordic region, a historical and geographical region covering much of five northern Europe countries, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland,” the organisers said.

The organisers said it is organising the three-day event programme tagged: “Nigeria Cultural Heritage Carnival 2018 in Denmark,” in collaboration with the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Information and Culture.

King said in a release it received an approval from Nigeria Federal Ministry of information and culture to organise the programme.

It further said will be “an elaborate event which will bring Nigeria closer to the people in Scandinavia and let them know about the country and its culture, and prepare a good ground for investors who had been afraid of investing in Nigeria owing to wrong impressions.

“With this, there is a possibility that many of them will invest in Nigeria and do things with Nigerian people. The Scandinavia which has a booming market opportunity that can be useful to Nigeria would also be using such advantage to have much in common with Nigerians.

“The cultural carnival will be the first of its kind in the region. It is expected that Nigeria will take advantage of the booming market opportunity in the area.
