Nigerian gospel singer set to break GWR for singing

Published by

Nigerian gospel artiste Essemm (Somtochukwu Nsofor) has set his sights on breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest hours of continuous singing.

The current record holder, Indian singer Sunil Waghmare, set the bar at 105 hours, but Essemm is determined to surpass this with an impressive 128 hours of non-stop singing.

At a press conference in Lagos, Essemm shared his vision, stating, “It’s not just about breaking the record; it’s about seeing Jesus Christ on a global scale.”

He emphasised the significance of using music to spread the gospel, noting, “I believe music is a powerful tool to heal and transform lives.”

Essemm’s motivation extends beyond personal achievement, seeking to create a platform for fellow gospel artists to pursue their dreams.

“I want to encourage other gospel artists to strive for greatness,” he said.

A seasoned musician, Essemm began his musical journey as a young boy, mastering instruments like the guitar and piano. His passion for gospel music drives this ambitious endeavour.

The record-breaking attempt will not only showcase Essemm’s vocal endurance but also highlight the impact of gospel music worldwide. By using his talent to uplift and inspire others, Essemm aims to leave a lasting legacy.

The event is highly anticipated, with many eager to witness Essemm’s historic attempt.
