Nigerian Ayodeji Ogunjimi elevates worship at ‘In His Presence’ Concert in Manchester

On November 16, 2024, Manchester was transformed into a hub of spiritual revival as the ‘In His Presence’ concert, themed The Dwelling Place, brought together worshippers from different walks of life.

Serving as both Co-Host and Music Director, Nigerian musician Ayodeji Ogunjimi (Ar’urdayjee) played a pivotal role in shaping the event’s atmosphere, ensuring a seamless flow of music and worship.

From the opening moments, Ogunjimi’s influence was evident. His ability to curate a setlist that balanced deep, meditative worship with energetic praise demonstrated his expertise in directing live music. Under his leadership, the choir and instrumentalists delivered a flawless performance, setting the tone for an immersive worship experience.

As Co-Host, Ar’urdayjee brought warmth and charisma to the stage. His eloquence and deep understanding of gospel music allowed him to guide the audience through moments of reflection and celebration, making the concert more than just a musical gathering—it became a divine encounter.

His personal rendition of “Holy Fire”, a soulful piece blending contemporary gospel with African influences, stood out as one of the night’s highlights, leaving the audience visibly moved.

Critics and attendees alike praised Ogunjimi for his musical excellence, stage presence, and ability to bridge cultural expressions in worship. However, some noted that certain segments of the event felt slightly extended due to prolonged instrumental interludes. Yet, this did little to overshadow the overall impact of the concert.

By the end of the night, it was clear that ‘In His Presence’ was more than just another gospel concert.
