The chairman of the Northern Senators Forum and Coordinator, North West, Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has cast his vote at the Gidan Ja’oje polling unit, Wamakko town, Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Addressing newsmen shortly after casting his vote, Senator Wamakko expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout of voters in the area, Sokoto State and Nigeria in general.

Senator Wamakko said, “I am happy that everything is going on according to plan and the voters are conducting themselves peacefully and lawfully.

“This is how it is supposed to be as every citizen of the country should be able to freely vote for his or her choice, thus our democracy would thrive.

“So far, so good and from what I have seen, all is well and the exercise would, in sha Allahu, be hitch-free nationwide.”

Senator Wamakko renewed his call on the electorate to sustain the peaceful tempo, during and after the elections.
