The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, has the winner of the last Saturday Presidential election in Ogun State.
Buhari defeated his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate having polled a total vote of 281,762 as against 194,655 scored by Atiku.
The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Professor Joseph Adeola Fuwape, declared Buhari as the winner at the Media Centre of INEC in Abeokuta.
The number of total votes cast was put at 602,938, the number of valid votes was said to be 564,256 and rejected votes, 41,682 votes.
Buhari won in 14 council areas while Abubakar won in six.
