THE  immediate minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro was declared yesterday, the winner of the Benue South senatorial seat.

Announcing the results, the returning officer, Professor Aunde Anne said that Moro of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 85,162 to defeat the candidate of the. All Progressive Congress, Steven Lawani who scored 47,972.

The result was announced in  Otukpo headquarters of Benue South senatorial district.

Moro would be succeeding Senator David Mark who has been in the senate .since 1999.

The former Minister won all the nine local government areas in the zone with a wide margin.
