#NigeriaDecides2019 | Akume loses senatorial election

Former governor of Benue State, Senator George Akume representing Benue North-West senatorial district has lost his election to a house of representatives member, Orke Jev.

Senator Akume lost the election by polling 115,422 while the PDP candidate, Orke Jev who scored 157,726.

The returning officer for Benue North-West senatorial district, Professor  Nicodemus Ochani declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Orke Jev the winner.

Also the PDP candidate, Benjamin  Mzondu won Guma/Makurdi house of representatives with 50,454 while the APC candidate Terhide Utaan who polled 37,743 votes
