Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state, who is contesting for Oyo South Senatorial seat, on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 112 votes to win his polling unit.
At Ajimobi’s Ward 11, Unit 20, in Ibadan South West Local Government Area, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) followed APC with 66 votes while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came third with 61 votes.

Ajimobi who voted at about 1.10pm, in a company of his wife, Florence, described the process as well-organised, credible and peaceful.
He lauded the impressive turnout and smiling faces at his polling unit as reassuring while expressing confidence that he will emerge victorious in the senatorial election.
