Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya
Gombe state Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has urged the people of the state and Nigerians, in general, to rekindle their hopes and renew their commitment and love for Nigeria as the country moves to surmount its present challenges.
In a message to mark the 59th Independence of Nigeria which is the 23rd anniversary of the creation of Gombe state, Yahaya urged the citizenry not to despair despite the present day challenges, but to keep hope alive in the quest to build a prosperous state and nation as envisioned by our founding fathers.
He called on the people to see the greatness and prospects of Gombe state and the country as a motivating factor.

While urging the people to continue to pray for and support those in authorities as well as contribute their quota to the development and progress of the Nation, the Governor said that all hands must be on deck to foster unity, peace and understanding regardless of the differences.
He gave an assurance that under his leadership, Gombe state will wax stronger in all facets of human endeavours, vowing to continue to initiate people-oriented policies and programmes that will better the lots of the people and the state.
While rejoicing with president Muhammadu Buhari and the entire nation on the auspicious occasion, Governor Inuwa Yahaya said that the celebration is an opportunity to continue to sustain the legacies of our heroes past as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Senior Special Assistant Media and Publicity to the Governor.
