Pastor Oladele, who preached at the 38th Church Anniversary of CAC, Orisun-Ife Zonal Headquarters, New Adeoyo area, Ibadan, said that in spite of predictions about possible bloodshed during the 2015 elections, the country and Nigerians have remained peaceful.
According to him, “God rules in the affairs of men here on earth. God is in charge of Nigeria. We believe in God. There’ll be peace in the country.”
Pastor Oladele said unhealthy rivalry should not be part of politics if politicians really want to serve the people, urging them to imbibe the spirit of love for the nation and humanity in general since love was about service.
He, however, lamented that Nigeria lacked men and women of virtues, who sincerely put the nation and the citizenry first in all that they do.
“What is the essence of our religion if we don’t put into practice what we have learnt in our different religious places” He queried.
In his sermon themed, Standing tall in Christian Love, Pastor Oladele noted that Jesus established that love is the whole essence of the law: love for God and fellow humans.
