Nigeria joins 50 other countries for Startup Europe Week 2018, as event holds in Lagos

To support entrepreneurs across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, over 100 entrepreneurs in Nigeria will, on Saturday, March 10, join other 100,000 entrepreneurs across 50 countries for Startup Europe Week (SEW), largest multi-event of its kind for startups in Europe.

An official co-organiser for Nigeria, in the city of Lagos, Mr. Kolawole Okuboyejo, founder and CEO of Infomart Books and Media, in a release, said, “we are tasked with helping startups get access to information that can help their businesses.”

Other co-organisers are Adedolapo Taiwo, co-founder, MyMusic Africa, and Kunle Bamgbose, LinkedIn Local Rep, Nigeria.

The Startup Europe Week, a series of independently organised conferences in over 50 countries and 400 cities, is aimed at helping startups get access to information that can help their businesses, thus panel sessions will be held to discuss how to set up business, how to efficiently and effectively grow startups, among others.

The Lagos event holds on Saturday, March 10, at Workstation, 7, Ibiyinka Olorunbe Close, off Amodu Ojikutu, off Saka Tinubu, Victoria Island Lagos, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Startup Europe Week is the largest multi-event of its kind for startups in Europe and the third edition will be held 5 – 9 March 2018.

Promoted by the European Commission, Startup Europe Week aims to showcase the support available to entrepreneurs on a city and regional level as regional diversity and local policy making is considered a big role in shaping European startups, from helping entrepreneurs to incorporate a company, to providing grants or taxes breaks.
