Nigeria is at critical moment — APC chieftain

Published by

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fouad Oki has said that Nigeria is at a critical moment where today’s choices impact unborn generations.

Oki stated this in a letter addressed to President Bola Tinubu titled ‘Who will Tell The President’, issued to newsmen on Sunday.

He expressed belief that obstacles long hindered Nigeria’s progress can be ameliorated with collaboration.

Oki, therefore, urged the President to revisit his promises made to himself, comrades and the Nigerian people regarding a change in the reward system and advocate for good governance.

The chieftain asked him to reflect on the sacrifices of the past, recognise the discontent that festers among those who have laboured tirelessly for the cause, and take the bold steps necessary to restore faith in the collective future.

Fouad also urged Tinubu to convene his friends, associates, counsellors, and even those who have long been sidelined in a congress or assembly where honest dialogue and reflection can take place.

“Our nation is at a critical moment, and the choices we make today will reverberate through the generations to come.

“I stand with you, Mr. President, in the belief that together we can overcome the obstacles that have long hindered Nigeria’s progress.

“I ask you to revisit the promises you made to yourself, to your loyal comrades, and to the Nigerian people when you vowed to change the reward system and to build a government that truly serves the interests of all its citizens.

“Reflect on the sacrifices of the past, recognise the discontent that festers among those who have laboured tirelessly for our cause, and take the bold steps necessary to restore faith in our collective future.

“Convene your friends, your associates, your counsellors, and even those who have long been sidelined, bring them together in a congress or assembly where honest dialogue and reflection can take place,” he said.
