Nigeria is set to host a historic summit, calling on African leaders to embrace value-based leadership and drive transformation across the continent.

The African Biblical Leadership Initiative (ABLI) conference, scheduled for October 21-24, 2024, in Abuja, will convene esteemed leaders from government, business, civil society and faith-based organizations.

The Chairman of Planning Committee, Prof. Jerry Gana, while briefing the media on Friday, explained that under the theme “Value-Based Leadership Model for Africa,” the conference will focus on promoting leadership guided by biblical values, emphasizing integrity, justice, wisdom and social harmony.

He disclosed that the keynote speakers include Honorable Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, former Chief Justice of South Africa, and Dr. Zienzi Dilton, Founder and the CEO of the Carmel Global Capital in New York, USA.

Speaking further, Prof. Gana reiterated that the ABLI conference offers a unique platform for leaders to engage in meaningful discussions, share experiences and explore solutions to Africa’s challenges,”

“The conference objectives are multifaceted. The ABLI conference seeks to foster value-based leadership, promoting good governance and accountability.

“Additionally, the conference aims to encourage transparency and anti-corruption efforts, while empowering youth leaders to drive positive change.”

“We believe that effective leadership is crucial for Africa’s growth, and ABLI seeks to equip leaders with values that promote the well-being of citizens and nations,” said the National Planning Committee Chairman.

Africa’s development depends on leaders who prioritize the continent’s prosperity, said ABLI organizers. The conference aims to inspire leaders to adopt value-based principles, driving positive change.

“The Bible Society of Nigeria and International Bible Societies have partnered to promote biblical values and leadership excellence.”
