Nigeria can be economically liberated if intentional about tourism — Expert

An international tourism expert and managing director of 1860 Travels, Mr. Olusina Daodu, has said Nigeria has all it takes to be economically liberated if it is intentional about the tourism agenda.

Daodu therefore urged the current Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, to be intentional about the country’s tourism development agenda in order to achieve the desired result.

Olusina, who is currently on a Europe tour, made this known to Tribune Online via a telephone call on Thursday afternoon.

The MD explained that Nigeria has all it takes to be liberated economically if an intentional approach is applied.

He further explained that people travel far away to different countries to visit the Eiffel Tower in France, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain, and so many other tourist sites in the world.

Olusina noted that the urban renewal strategy of the Spanish government is second to none, and Nigeria can borrow a leaf from them.

He explained that those old tourist sites in Spain are being modernised to make sure they still look new and attractive to people.

“It is important that I beseech the current Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, to be intentional about the country’s tourism development agenda in order to achieve the desired result.

“Nigeria has all it takes to be liberated economically if an intentional approach is applied to its tourism sector.

“For instance, people travel far away to different countries to visit the Eiffel Tower in France, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain, and so many other tourist sites in the world.

“For instance, the urban renewal strategy of the Spanish government is second to none, and Nigeria can borrow a leaf from them.

“The government is making sure that those old tourist sites in Spain are being modernised to make sure they still look new and attractive to people.” He said.

Meanwhile, the CEO mentioned his company will dazzle travellers with its upcoming products, ranging from sports to tourist sites and so many others, in order for them to fulfil their travel experience.

The CEO is on a tour to European countries: France, Italy, Spain and so many others.
