Nigeria at 58: Our dreams still within reach ― Laosun, AAC gov candidate

AKINWALE Omololu Laosun, the Oyo State governorship candidate for African Action Congress (AAC), on the 58th anniversary of the country, has called on Nigerians to remain expectant and believe that the Nigeria of their dreams is within reach.

Laosun stressed that though the country has been endowed with unbelievable natural resources and creative individuals, he noted that these privileges have not been translated into national benefits for the citizens.

“Most of the development and infrastructure gained in the first 29 years of our country are now in a dying state, comatose or non-existent.

The national airline carrier, refineries, hydroelectric plants, railways and national hospitals to mention a few.

The nation has been presented with the opportunity to elect God-fearing, selfless and compassionate leaders who would lead the country out of the current economic doldrums in the 2019 elections”.

Laosun confirmed that Nigeria remains faced with leadership problems and 2019 was an opportunity to turn things around.

Laosun thus appealed to Nigerians not to sell their votes in 2019 and to vote for new visionary leaders who have not been part of or sponsored by the old brigades.

“Nigerians should remain hopeful. I appeal to Nigerians to resist money politics and votes buying. We have a rare opportunity to turn things around for good in 2019. We must resist the people who want us to remain stagnant.

We need new and competent leaders who will remain selfless and channel a positive turn around for the nation and its people” he said.
He concluded that he was positive that Nigeria will be great again.
