The National Assembly and State House of Assembly Petition Tribunal sitting in Minna, Niger State, has been on recess since last month (July), and it is expected to resume sitting next month in the premises of the Headquarters of the Niger High Court in Minna, its base since the commencement of the Tribunal’s sitting.

The National Assembly and State of Assembly election petitions Tribunal is headed by Justice Godspower Angba and his counterpart, Justice Angela Otaluka.

The Nigerian Tribune Investigation gathered that prior to the commencement of the ongoing recess by the elections petition Tribunal, the Tribunal had collated its reports and was planning to declare its judgement on the cases brought before it by the respective petitioners who had filed cases of electoral malpractice against their political opponents in the February 25th and March 18th 2023 general elections in the state.
