The Niger State Government has designated Friday, 13th December 2024, as a day for Fida’u prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Executive Chairman of Katcha Local Government Council, Hon. Danlami Saku. Hon. Saku who passed away on Tuesday, 10th December 2024, in a ghastly motor accident along the Minna-Suleja road.
The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Binta Mamman, announced that the Fida’u prayer will take place at the Minna Central Jumma’at Mosque.
The prayer will be led by the Director General of the Niger State Bureau of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Umar Faruq Abdullahi.

In addition, the State Government has postponed Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s planned tour of Niger East Senatorial District (Zone B) to honor the mourning period for the deceased Katcha Local Government Council Chairman.
The government extended its apologies for any inconvenience caused to stakeholders in the preparation for the tour, assuring them that a new date will be announced in due course.
