The Niger State government has expressed willingness to support the development of e-learning programme established by the state’s chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers’ Endwell Model Science School, Minna.

The state Commissioner for Education, Hajiya Fatima Madugu, made the promise during the first prize giving day of the school for the 2015/2016 academic year.

“You will get every support you need to improve this e-learning programme. This school is part of us because it is situated in Niger State; so, we will do our best to develop it,” she said.

The commissioner commended the management, staff and board of trustees of the school for impacting positively on the pupils.

“The kind of pupils you have presented here today shows that you have good teachers, and we will not fail on our part to encourage you,” she said.

Similarly, the lead consultant to the school, Mrs. Ramatu Garba, said that test-running of the school on an e-platform programme had commenced.

Also, Mrs Elizabeth Winstance, another consultant to the school from the United Kingdom, said the school had introduced differentiation methodology of instruction.

Winstance explained the methodology as a process by which differences between learners are accommodated so that all students in a group would have the best possible chance of learning.

The board of trustees chair person, Hajiya Dije Bala, urged parents and guardians to explore academic opportunities that abound in the school to ensure that their children get qualitative education.

Earlier, the head teacher, Mrs. Olayemi Ibitunde, said the school was incorporated in March 2015, and commenced academic activities in September the same year.

She said the prize giving day was to mark graduation of pupils from nursery to primary class, reward outstanding pupils for excellent academic performance, promote others to their next class and reward staff for hard work.
