Niger Delta militants give FG 7 days to commence implementation of 16-point demands

Published by

Members of the splinter group, Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA), have issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to begin implementation of the 16-point demands presented by Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) last week.

ABA has also warned all oil workers to evacuate the region as the group threatened to go on the rampage over its feud with the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Worker (NUPENG).

President of NUPENG, Mr, Igwe Achese, was reported to have suggested to the Federal Government to engage the services of a security outfit managed by some ex-militants in the surveillance of crude oil facilities in the region.

ABA’s threat, it was gathered, came on the heels of the statement which is said to have angered the militants to issue the fresh threat.

The miltant group threatened that within seven days, it would resume attacks on oil installations to protest the action of NUPENG and the refusal of President Muhammadu-led Federal Government to commence the implementation of  PANDEF members.

The group, in a statement signed by its spokesman, ‘General’ Edmos Ayayeib, on Thursday, gave the Federal Government and NUPENG seven days to immediately urge all multinational oil companies operating in the region to leave the territory.

It threatened that failure to do so would lead to untold calamities on staff and on oil and gas installations.

“…We’re giving Federal government and NUPENG to immediately ask all multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region to evacuate our territory within 7 days ultimatum. Failure will lead us to go on rampage with all (NUPENG) workers and all oil installations.

This time around, we shall leave no stone unturned. We want all Nigerians to know how we will surprise the President of the Nigeria union of petroleum and Natural gas worker’s (NUPENG) Mr, Igwe Achese on how he wants to cause crisis in the Niger Delta region.

By asking the Federal government of Nigeria to engage the service of a security outfit managed by some ex-militants in the Niger Delta for the security of crude oil facilities in region, his words is a slap to the the Niger Delta agitators.

We shall let him know that the Niger Delta is not a place for him to set fire.

Rather we will go after the lives of his worker’s and the so-called oil installations in the region,” the Avenger splinter group warned.

The group, in the statement, went further to say “This is a sound warning to all multinational oil companies operating in region to, for their own interest for now, until matters are resolved in the region.

Failure to adhere to this warning we will go on the rampage for the total destruction of workers and oil installations they will have theirselves to be blamed.

It has also come to our notice that President Muhammadu Buhari is not ready for any meaningful dialogue process in the Niger Delta.

Since our representative Papa E. Kiagbodo Clark and the King Diete Spiff led groups summits the 16 points agendas to President Buhari, he has not shown any sign of engaging the leaders and the leaders in any piece process.

The ADAKA BORO AVENGERS give Kudos to The minister of petroleum Dr, Ibe Kachuku for his tirelessly efforts in combing the crisis in the Niger Delta region, indeed he his a son of the soul.

But we want all our leaders from the Niger Delta region, especially Papa E. Kiagbodo Clark, King Alfred Diete Spiff and the Mister of Petroleum Dr, Ibe Kachuku to please step aside for us to take the bull by the horn.

We are tired of talks only. The future of us and our unborn children is being taken to feed the whole country on daily basis. Yet we are listening to Buhari and his APC talks.

Deadline of the seven days ultimatum will be total War across all states in the Niger Delta region,” they vowed.
