Niger CP decorates 281 promoted corporals

In light of the recent promotion of 10,581 Inspectors, rank and file in the Police Force by the Inspector General of Police, the Niger State Police Command benefited with 281 Police Constables promoted to the next rank of Corporal.

The beneficiaries were decorated on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024, by the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, assisted by DCP Aminu M. Garba (Admin) and DCP Falade Micheal (Operations).

During the decorations, the CP congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them, stating that they were on course in their chosen careers. He noted that the good conduct they had exhibited so far had qualified them for the promotion, not dismissal.

He urged them to keep their records clean and to maintain discipline for future promotions. He emphasized that decorating the beneficiaries that day was a mark of honor and wished the new Corporals the best in their careers.

The CP charged the married ones and those planning to marry to take responsibility, while he reminded all beneficiaries to be more responsible. He warned that if they were found wanting, they could be demoted.

He advised them to remain dedicated, committed, and disciplined, emphasizing that rather than facing demotion, they should aim for further promotion.

The CP prayed that they would attain greater heights to the glory of God and the NPF.

Finally, he admonished them to protect their names, their families, and the Police Institution.

Some of the beneficiaries serving in the State Police headquarters are: Cpl Jibrin Abubakar, Cpl Grace Ayiki, Cpl Aisha Abdullahi, Cpl Abdulwasiu Abdulkareem, Cpl Kolo Sunday, Cpl Grace Samuel, Cpl Zuwaira Aliyu, Cpl Zaka Obey, Cpl Mohammed Yahaya, and Cpl Jummai Musa.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Cpl Zaka Obey appreciated the IGP, the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, and the Command’s management team for finding them worthy of promotion and promised not to relent.
