The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, decorated 204 newly promoted officers at the State Police Headquarters in Minna on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
The beneficiaries include: one (1) Assistant Commissioner of Police promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, ten (10) Superintendents of Police promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police, twelve (12) Deputy Superintendents of Police promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police, and one hundred and eighty-one (181) Assistant Superintendents of Police promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police emphasized that with greater responsibility comes greater expectations, highlighting that it pleased Almighty God that the beneficiaries were in good health for the promotion.

The Police Commissioner encouraged the officers not to rest on their laurels, urging them to strive to perform better than before. He noted that promotions come with more responsibility and expressed his belief that the beneficiaries had the capacity to meet the demands and expectations of their new positions.
He further stressed that their new roles required increased supervision of subordinates and monitoring. He stated, “The image of the Force should be your priority as you climb the ladder and contribute your quota to improve it.”

Abubakar – SCID, CSP Hassan Gimba – O/C Crack Squad, CSP Gabriel A. Godwin – O/C Transport, CSP Saba D. Jibrin – DPO Paiko Div, CSP Mamah C. Casmir – DCO Erena, CSP Ali A. Kadir – O/C Works, CSP Talata J. Yani – DPO Chanchaga, CSP Mohammed Mamun – O/C EOD.

In appreciation, the beneficiaries thanked the Chairman of the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police for considering them worthy of the promotion.
They also expressed their gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, for his positive recommendations, which played a significant role in achieving the promotion, and pledged to continue working to enhance the image of the Force.
