United Kingdom registered charity IA-Foundation has expressed readiness to raise funds for out-of-school children in Nigeria and Africa at its 2025 Charity Gala in London, United Kingdom.
In a statement issued to Tribune Online on sunday, The Founder, Mrs Ibironke Adeagbo recalled that the Foundation raised an impressive £24,000 in London in March 2023.
She expressed optimism of raising bigger funds, adding that it is aimed towards achieving goal of driving lasting change through education for underprivileged children across Africa.
Ibironke noted that Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner will deliver the keynote address, noting the support of Abike Dabiri-Erewa and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana’s advocate for the cause.
“The menace of out-of-school children in Nigeria and Africa is disturbing; Hence, the need to address the issue immediately before it becomes difficult.
“This is the reason our organisation is set to raise mega funds to address this quagmire in Nigeria specifically and Africa generally.
“Building on the success of its last major fundraising event in March 2023, where the Foundation raised an impressive £24,000 in London in March 2023, this year’s gala is shaping up to be even bigger — with the goal of driving lasting change through education for underprivileged children across Africa.
“The event will feature a keynote address from Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to the UK, signaling high-level diplomatic backing.
“Also lending her influential support is Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).
“The Foundation’s patron, the iconic Femi Falana, SAN, continues to be a passionate advocate for the cause.
“This isn’t just a night out; it’s a movement,” says IA-Foundation’s leadership. “Every ticket bought is an investment in a child’s future, a step toward a better Africa.” She said.
According to her, IA-Foundation was founded in 2019 and has already supported over 100 children back into classrooms.
She added that the Foundation distributed more than 5,000 educational materials to students in slums and underserved communities.
