A Non-Governmental Organisation has drilled and donated a handpump borehole to Gada Doka community in Toro LGA of Bauchi State.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony of the borehole on Monday, Mr. Bege Layas, a member of the Board of Trustees of the faith-based NGO, Michael Fountain Ministry said that the project was part of the humanitarian service.
According to him, the Project was conceived with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the community due to lack of good source of water for domestic usage considering the number of the people.
He expressed hope that even the coming generation will benefit from the borehole urging the community to ensure that the project was maintained regularly so that it will last.
Mr. Tinat Joseph, the Program Officer of Mishpael Fountain Ministry while handing over the borehole to the community advised them to guard it jealously so that it will serve the purpose for which it was done.
According to him, “With the completion and handing over of the project to the community, Mishpael Fountain Ministry is now out of here, it is left for you to ensure that it is well taken care of.”
