Published by

THE Jigawa Forum a non-governmental organisation and pressure group in Jigawa State has charge the hosting community of the Federal University Dutse and entire people in the state to give maximum support to the higher institution.

‎The Chairman of the forum, Professor Tabi’u Muhammad made the assertion yesterday when the forum paid the first of its kind courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar in her office.

The professor explained that despite Jigawa State was blessed with important people across the globe but still few are committed to invest in Federal University Dutse for its development.

According to him, the investment of some of the non Jigawa indigenes in the University like A A Rano, Aminu Dantata and other people outside the state, no doubt is a great challenge to Jigawa ‎people.

‎The Professor who described University as an engine of development urged the people in the state to support the University for a better development of the state.

Professor Tabi’u also urged the University Management to incorporate more Jigawa citizens both as staffs and students for a faster development of the state.

Speaking during the visit, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar ‎said, a lot of development has been recorded in the University from her inception to office as Vice Chancellor to date.

The VC then commended the forum for the visit and urged the people in the state to support the University as according to her, the development of the University will help in taking the state to next level.
