The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Friday expressed its profound grief and heartfelt condolences to Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State over the tragic loss of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, and his 24-year-old son, Abdulwahab Namadi.
The Forum’s condolence message, titled “Heartfelt Condolences to His Excellency, Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, on the Loss of His Mother and Son,” was signed by the NGF Chairman, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State.
Governor AbdulRazaq, who expressed grief over the unfortunate incidents, said: “It is truly devastating that within just 24 hours of mourning the passing of your mother on December 25, 2024, Your Excellency has been confronted with yet another heartbreaking tragedy—the loss of your 24-year-old son, Abdulwahab Namadi, in a road accident along the Dutse-Kafin-Hausa road on December 26, 2024.
“The NGF stands united with Your Excellency, your family, and the people of Jigawa State during this profoundly difficult time.
“We acknowledge the weight of this double loss and share in your sorrow as you navigate these moments of intense grief.
“We pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants you and your family the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear these irreparable losses.
“May He envelop your family in comfort, grant eternal rest to the souls of Hajiya Maryam Namadi and Abdulwahab Namadi, and bestow peace upon your hearts.
“The entire Nigeria Governors’ Forum mourns alongside you and offers unwavering support in this moment of deep sorrow.
“Please accept our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences.”
