New Year: DG NOA tasks Nigerians to keep faith in country

The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has urged Nigerians at home and abroad to strengthen their faith in the country as the new year approaches. He added that the promises of good planning for a transformational nation have begun to yield positive results.

Issa-Onilu made this statement in his New Year message to Nigerians, expressing appreciation to citizens for supporting the government and the nation throughout 2024, particularly in backing critical economic reforms and the fight against insecurity under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The DG further stated that the challenges of the past year were mitigated as Nigerians united in support of the government’s policies. He encouraged citizens to sustain the “tempo of resilience against internal and external forces,” assuring them that Nigeria would remain an “indivisible entity.”

“I felicitate with Nigerians at home and abroad. The year 2025 promises growth and development for our dear nation. We should not be distracted by the antics of our enemies. A united Nigeria will be greater and more prosperous,” Issa-Onilu said.

The NOA boss also assured Nigerians that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free celebration. He urged citizens to remain law-abiding and security-conscious.
