Governor Ortom maintained that his administration would do everything possible to pay the new national minimum wage of N30,000 recently assented to by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said that workers deserve more than N30,000 minimum wage,  stressing that he would not deny the workers what rightfully belongs to them.

Ortom who said that States need adequate funds to pay the new minimum wage appealed to the federal government to review the Revenue Allocation Formula.

Speaking on the delegate conference, the governor charged those that would be elected at the delegates conference to provide selfless service to the organised labour in the state.
