The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the return of 5,403 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their homes after their stay in camps.
The returnees include 1,517 in Mafa, 750 in Konduga, 1,200 in Ngamboru and about 1,936 due to return to Dikwa.
This is coming at a period the governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettima and a team of NEMA North East zonal staff, led by the zonal coordinator, Alhaji Muhammed Kanar, spent the night in Bama, in order to fast-track the reconstruction of homes and other structures to facilitate the return of residents displaced by insurgency.
