Director General of NCAC, Otunba Segun Runsewe
THE National Council for Women Society (NCWS) has commended the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) Segun Runsewe and the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu for spearheading the campaign against moral decadence in Nigeria.
A statement signed by the National President of NCWS, Dr Laraba Shoda, said the body was happy that its visit to Runsewe on the need to stem cultural and moral decadence in the country has started yielding a positive result.
“We condemn the offensive promotion of despicable conducts such as nudity and transgender activities that are projecting a negative image to Nigerian youths. These actions are not representative of our culture, and we are happy with the responses after our visit to Runsewe,” Shoda said.
The NCWS urged all Nigerians to rise and defend the country’s heritage because “the protection of our noble cultural heritage and the national image is of paramount importance to us all.”
