“This marks the culmination of the secondary education studies that the inmates began from scratch by attending adult literacy classes at the Female Custodial Facility,” the statement said.

According to the statement, the NCS, under the leadership of CGCS Haliru Nababa, is committed to ensuring the rehabilitation and reformation of inmates through various means, including educational training, skills acquisition, sports, and more.

It also informed the inmates that the Controller of Corrections of the Edo State Command, Emehinola Philomena Esq., is dedicated to supporting inmates under her command to achieve reformation, rehabilitation, and reintegration into society.
