NCPWD chief lauds Tinubu’s support for persons with disabilities

The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), Chief Ayuba Gufwan, expressed deep gratitude to Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of persons with disabilities in Nigeria.

Chief Gufwan made these remarks during a courtesy visit by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Abba Issa, at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

In his address, Chief Gufwan highlighted the significant strides made in addressing disability issues under the current administration, noting that the long-standing calls for intervention have finally gained considerable attention.

“The NCPWD is a prayer answered, and we must do everything humanly possible to sustain the inclusivity that we now enjoy from the Presidency. Now is the moment of Renewed Hope for Persons with Disabilities,” he said.

Chief Gufwan also emphasized that while numerous opportunities exist for persons with disabilities, achieving the community’s aspirations requires collective effort.

He pointed out that his appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Commission serves as further proof of President Tinubu’s dedication to ensuring the well-being of persons with disabilities.
