The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has signed contract execution with its Air carrier and Ground Handlers for the 2017 Christian Pilgrimage exercise to Israel, Rome and Greece at the NCPC  Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Reverend Tor Uja stated that the contract execution signing is very crucial to the preparation for the 2017 Pilgrimage official flag off which will hold on 19th November, 2017 in Gombe State.

The NCPC boss informed that the commission and the Christian pilgrimage operators are working tirelessly to ensure a successful flag off of the 2017 Christian pilgrimage exercise.

His words,” I make note to inform everyone that the 2017 main pilgrimage would be flagged off in Gombe State on November 19, 2017 and the pilgrimage team together with all the Christian pilgrimage operators will be on ground at the airport in Nigeria and Israel before the arrival of pilgrims on November 20.”

Rev. Uja further informed that NCPC is building a closer synergy with all service providers to create cordial bi-lateral relationship between Nigeria and the State of Israel.

The NCPC helmsman stressed the need for the service providers to provide quality services such as good hotel accommodation, nice meals with Nigerian menu served and all souvenirs printed in the Nigerian colours of green and white with Nigeria conspicuously written on it.

According to him, “We have signed and agreed that our service providers and the nations involved would ensure that Nigerian Christians on pilgrimage would be given the best treatment”.

Reverend Uja emphasized that pilgrimage would not just be a tourist exercise, but basically a spiritual work that will help to rejuvenate our country.

He commended the air carriers and ground handlers for their excellence in service delivery to Nigerian Christian pilgrims to the Holy land thus far and promised that the commission would have good synergy with them.

The directors of the service providers thanked the commission for the opportunity to serve the 2017 Nigerian Christian Pilgrims on pilgrimage and promised to make sure this year, Nigeria Christian pilgrims gets the best services

The commission in September organised a maiden enlightenment workshop on pilgrimage service delivery and public procurement for various pilgrimage stakeholders across the nation for which only one air carrier and two ground handlers succeeded and were awarded the contract.
