NCDMB boss, Ogbe, urges local content harmonisation for oil & gas growth

Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has said lack of implementation of local content policies is hindering progress in the oil and gas sector.

Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr Felix Ogbe, made this statement at the ongoing 9th edition of the Sub Saharan Africa International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference, SAIPEC.

Ogbe, in his address, identified harmonisation of local content policies, human capital development, infrastructure investment, funding provisions and technology transfer as areas where collaboration could be reached.

Speaking on ‘Sub-Saharan Africa Local Content Collaboration Strategy,’ he also highlighted the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, AfCFTA, as a vital tool for fostering regional partnerships.

He said: “Under my leadership, NCDMB remains a regional leader, expanding collaborations with Senegal, Ghana, Uganda, and beyond to strengthen local content frameworks in the African continent”.
